At the UK watch and jewellery industry’s equivalent to the Oscars, Citizen was awarded Supplier and Marketing Campaign of the year; Bauhaus-cool Nomos was named Luxury Watch Brand of the year, while Seiko took home Watch Brand and Watchfinder was named Watch Retailer. Citizen were over the moon to have been given two awards. Speaking about its success, Mark Robinson, managing director of the brand’s UK arm, said: “Every year the industry gathers at the UK Watch and Jewellery Awards to acknowledge the brands that have had a notable and commendable year, each striving to better the watch and jewellery industry. We are proud to be at the forefront of the business and for two consecutive years, taking home the same accolade of ‘Supplier of the Year’, proving our dedication to excellence year in year out.” It was third time lucky for Nomos who have lost out to Bremont two years in a row for the Luxury Watch title but this year the judges for the category thought that Nomos had really proved its mettle. The UK Watch and Jewellery Awards were held at the Hilton Park Lane on 02 July, and were attended by some of the finest names in the industry, including Eve’s Watch’s own Larissa Trew.
