|Famous for||The James Bond of watches – durable English timepieces that are hot on style|
Bremont was co-founded by brothers Nick & Giles English, whose vision was to make watches accurate and durable enough to be tried and tested in the field by professional adventurers, including mountaineer Bear Grylls, round-the-world yachtsman Mike Golding, and Everest climber Jake Meyer among many others. For example, the Bremont MBII timepiece shown above was developed with ejection seat company Martin-Baker, to make this Bremont as durable as possible. The duo have achieved their goals with aplomb – their stainless-steel cases are nine times as durable as average watch cases, and an arduous chronometer certification process ensures accuracy levels of 99.998 per cent.
Of course, looks and finish are critical too, and their high standards extend to a hand-cut and engraved winding rotor, sapphire crystal case backs and a suave, sophisticated and quintessentially British design.
Did You Know? Bremont took durability testing to a whole new extreme when they asked partner Martin Baker (ejector seat makers) to test the “Bremont MBII”.
