Post-modern pop star Mika has created the latest Swatch Art Specials called KUKULAKUKI and KUKULAKUKU (say that after a glass of wine). Adding his name to the long list of painters, sculptors, filmmakers, musicians, photographers and designers, Mika, with a little help from his sister Yasmine, worked with Swatch to create a daring ‘art for the wrist’ duo. Inspired by a totemic object, the timepieces feature a simple but bold pattern on the strap, with an image similar to an African tribal mask on each dial. Visually striking with a bit of a mystical feel, the watches are quiet captivating and just what you’d expect from the vibrant and diverse pop star.

Once in a lifetime you get to dance the night away to club classics offered up by DJ-model Daisy Lowe. Last night Eve’s Watch did just that at the launch party of Lifetime, a new female-orientated entertainment channel due to hit our screens at the beginning of November. The team was kindly invited by Citizen Watch, who has sealed a massive 12 month exclusive multi-media sponsorship deal with Lifetime. We were thoroughly entertained by the talented circus-style acrobats, teased by crazy stilt-walkers and wowed by the ‘awesome’ Laura Mvula’s private set ahead of tonight’s Mercury Prize. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Amanda deCadenet and the hilarious Alex Zane, it was a rather spectacular Tuesday night out at One Marylebone in London.
To celebrate the launch of the new ladies steel and rose gold Aquaracer collection, TAG Heuer with long-time friend of the brand Bo Derek, hosted an intimate evening on Tuesday 8th October at TRAMP Nightclub. In the 1980s, the Aquaracer vision was personified by a ravishing image of Bo Derek, whose first Aquaracer was a 22nd birthday gift from her father.

Singer, philanthropist and Nobel Prize nominee Sir Bob Geldof has secured a seat in one of SXC’s (Space Expedition Corporation) upcoming space flights, that way officially becoming an astronaut.
Geldof said, “Being the first Irishman in space is not only a fantastic honour but pretty mind-blowing. The first rock astronaut space rat! Elvis may have left the building but Bob Geldof will have left the Planet! Wild! Who would have thought it possible in my lifetime.”
We all know the cliché – the man hesitantly entering the jewellery shop, wincing at the tinkling bell announcing his arrival, trying not to make eye contact with any of the staff, overwhelmed by the choice of near-identical baubles and bangles…Then making a hasty decision, choosing the wrong thing and spending too much money. I know, because I’ve been that man. Far too often.
Bulova makes its big screen debut with one of our favourite hunks Channing Tatum in the latest Hollywood blockbuster ‘White House Down’. Also starring Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tatum’s character Cale (a Capitol policeman) takes us on a tour of the White House with his daughter when paramilitary invaders attack. In a storyline playing to the omnipresent threat to national security and the conflict that ensues, Cale must act to save the President (Foxx) and is armed only with his wits, weapons and trusty Bulova Hack watch.
