Generally speaking, we think of using watches in the sub-£200 bracket to insert a colour pop into an outfit, reserving those of a larger price tag for the esteemed ‘classic’ space in one’s wardrobe. This was partly due to a sense that if you’re spending money then the watch should be a sombre affair that is beyond trends, but also because there really weren’t that many brands at that end taking a chance on colour.
However, that’s changed dramatically recently. Big-name brands are starting to have fun and that means colour. Rather than go through the whole rainbow, we’ve stuck to those watches making use of the primaries – red, blue and green. Prepare to rethink where you get your colour fix from.
