Renowned for her ‘it’ girl status in the late 90’s, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has graced our television screens on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here, in various presenter roles and filled many newspaper column inches following her very public cocaine addiction. Now having stepped out of the limelight, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is better known for her close relationship with the Royal Family, her charitable work and accomplishment at the piano. We caught up with Tara to find out her latest.
Tell us what you’ve been working on recently?
Last November I stopped work to dedicate my time, solely for a year, to three charities: Skiing with Heroes, for whom I composed the orchestral score for their promotional video; Child Bereavement UK, who I am helping to plan a charity fundraiser next year and most recently Speur Ghlan (a Scottish charity focussed on offering support to children and their families who are experiencing the early stages of autism) for whom I am very proud to have become patron.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as timeless, classic, sophisticated and elegant.
What watch is on your wrist right now?
None but earlier I was wearing my Chanel black and diamond J12.
What watch do you lust after?
My nephew’s – it glows in the dark and you can eat it apparently!
What is currently your favourite fashion item?
My new Moncler skiing jacket.
Who or what inspires you?
Music, Art, fun people and Holly Golightly.
When you take ‘time out’ what is it that you do?
I practice the piano every day for a couple of hours and practice meditation as often as I can. But I must say that Netflix and iTunes are responsible for my downtime. I love getting lost in movies and box sets.
