STORM Zia Ladies Fashion Watch Review

By | Fashion, Reviews | No Comments

For a fashion watch brand I am a little disappointed in the packaging, a soft lined silver pouch with the brand logo and a simple Velcro fastener, functional but lacking any wow factor. My first impressions of the STORM Zia is a barely there bangle watch. Its ultra-thin bracelet is as narrow as some of my cotton friendship bracelets and its aesthetic is strikingly minimal. The watch weighs in at just 23 grams, so light you might forget you’re wearing it.

Bulova Crystal Rose Gold Ladies Fashion Watch Review

Vintage is a word that I am sick of hearing, but I’m using it to describe what this watch is not. Rose gold normally evokes that feeling of a bygone era, something you would find in your grandma’s dusty jewellery box, but this watch doesn’t look in the slightest bit vintage. I think it’s down to the brazen amount of bling on the bezel and the substantial size of the case. This is not a dainty watch – this is for a woman who likes her watches big, bold and flashy and who has an equal measure of confidence to carry it off.

Tissot Cera Ladies Classic Watch Review

By | Fashion, Reviews | No Comments

I instantly liked this watch, yes it’s smaller than I’m used to at 28mm (as an advocate of the boyfriend style due to my larger than average bones) but the two-tone grey/black looks elegant on the wrist and is the perfect watch to take you from day to night – working just as well with jeans and a t-shirt as it does with a LBD. According to the Tissot website, Cera is a girl’s name meaning ‘fiery ones’ and aptly the first half of the word ceramic, one of the materials from which it is made. Ceramic has become a hugely popular material in watchmaking in recent years since the launch of Chanel’s original J12 model in 2000.

Mondaine Aura Ladies Classic Watch Review

I really wasn’t expecting to like this watch, my initial impressions were ‘too small, and looks like a nurse’s watch’. Not good. However, once it was on my wrist, it really won me over. Yes, it is small, but it’s very cute and perfectly legible. It also got a lot of attention for something so small – quite a few people asked me what I was wearing.
