If digital watches make you think committed joggers totting up their mileage then think again, because these stylish pieces are more street-cool than sweaty…

There aren’t many people who haven’t owned a digital watch at one point or another, but after the 1990s morphed in the early 00s they ended up in the back of the drawer, neglected and forgotten.

But in the past couple of years digital watches have seen a resurgence, thanks in large part to the steadfast ways of Casio (check out its Instagram snaps above) and the reintroduction of the Baby-G.

If you’re looking to rock a digital watch without hitting the ‘sports and activity’ category, here are some of our top stylish picks…

Nixon Re-Run in Rose Gold

Available in five different colourways, this Nixon Re-Run with a rose gold tone bracelet strap gives us major East London vibes. If you want to make a digital watch work for the office (without looking like you’ve stepped back to 1987) then this is a good choice.

Casio Mini Pink Digital Watch

The clash of a modern colourful leather strap and retro case in this Casio number certainly grabs our attention, but it’s the super affordable price tag that makes our smile a little wider. Its also available in an on-trend orange shade for those of you with an eagle eye on SS16 catwalk trends.

Void PXR-5 Watch

Available from the super trendy Dezeen Watchstore, this Void PXR-5 digital watch, developed by British industrial designer Michael Young, is at the more minimal end of the spectrum. We like this black-on-black version, but there’s a rose gold and pink, navy blue and silver and black and silver version to tempt you too.

Timex 80

Trying to pick between these two Timex 80 pieces was just too darn difficult, so we’ve cheated and included both. The brand describes the collection as ‘geek chic’, but we reckon there’s nothing cooler than a metallic silver leather strap or a neon pink face. Bright blue, orange and gold shades are also up for grabs.

Casio Digital Bracelet Watch

If you don’t want to go all out digital, this hybrid watch by Casio is a quirky solution. Featuring a more traditional watch dial and a digital display, this AQ-230GA-9DMQYES model (yep, that’s its catchy *ahem* name) is hitting the trend for gold shades and unusual case shapes all at the same time. Result.
