The former Olympic showjumper, two-term President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), FEI Honorary President and Classic-winning racehorse owner, HRH Princess Haya was awarded the Longines Ladies Award at a black-tie dinner on June 15.
This accolade was in recognition of Princess Haya’s prominence in the world of equestrianism and her continued support of the sport.
The 2015 Longines Ladies Award consisted of a Longines pocket watch: The Longines Equestrian Pocket Watch Horses Trio 1911. It was inspired by an original timepiece dating back to 1911, with a background depicting a trio of horses, and features the L878.4 calibre with manual winding, a Longines Manufacture movement.
The glamorous event, which took place at Hampton Court Palace, was attended by global equine industry, including owners, breeders, riders and senior figures from all major equestrian organisations, as well as Eve’s Watch’s very own Larissa Trew.
Longines has long been associated with all manner of equestrian sport, with its involvement dating back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Today, Longines is involved in show jumping, flat racing and eventing.[jmaddcat limit=”20″ title=”Longines Watch Features” slug=”132″ titlecolour=”black” ]
