Famous for  Bold, robust timepieces by a traditional watchmaker with a passion for the sea

Officine Panerai started life in Florence in 1860, where Giovanni Panerai, a businessman, craftsman and innovator, opened the city’s first watchmaker’s shop.

Combining Italian design with Swiss craftsmanship and a passion for the water, he fast built a reputation for quality, luxury timepieces which incorporate special features.  One of the most popular watches in the “Ferrari” series features a perpetual calendar. A 2011 model features a 3-day power reserve. Officine Panerai presents a new chronograph of the highest quality, incorporating a fascinating combination of design, technology and history- the new Radiomir 1940 Chronograph Oro Bianco featured above.

Current signature watches the “Luminor” and “Radiomir” have many A list fans and are inspired by the brand’s heritage, which includes a commission from The Royal Italian Navy, who in 1916 asked Panerai to provide them with luminous devices for sighting naval guns at night.

Did You Know?  One Panerai “Luminor” owner is actor Jason Statham, a former diver and member of the British Diving Squad
